Frequently asked
Before you come over.
Where is Lula's Kare-Kare located?
We're at 8 President Roxas Street, corner Maj. Santos Dizon Street, Industrial Valley Subdivision, Marikina 1802, Metro Manila — about a five-minute drive from Marikina Sports Center and easy to reach from Quezon City, Pasig, Cainta, and Antipolo.
What are your opening hours?
Tuesday to Thursday we serve from 11:00 to 21:30. Friday to Sunday we stay open until 22:00. Monday is our kitchen's rest day.
Do you take reservations?
Yes. The fastest way is to send us a note via Facebook Messenger at @houseofkarekare — our reservation form opens a Messenger chat with your details pre-filled. You can also call 0917 861 8281 during kitchen hours.
What is your most popular dish?
Lula's Signature Kare-Kare — a slow-simmered peanut stew with oxtail, brisket, tripe, and beef cheeks, served with our house-made bagoong on the side. The recipe comes from Eugenia Padilla's family kitchen in Camarines Norte, Bicol.
Do you have vegetarian options?
Yes. Our Vegetable Kare-Kare swaps the meats for fresh local vegetables in the same peanut sauce. Several salads and the Creamy Mushroom Soup are also vegetarian-friendly. Tell our staff about any dietary restrictions before ordering.
Is the restaurant good for family gatherings or salo-salo?
Absolutely — that's how Lula always served it. Our Family Salo Salo Platter feeds a crowd, and several pasta and rice dishes have family-size pricing. Reservations are recommended for groups, especially on Friday and Saturday nights.
